Hi!Today I am announcing a contest that I have been pondering on for a time.
"Abstract Mania"
The idea of this contest is to promote spontanious and creative detailed design. Traditional, digital, and black / white art.
Your entry MUST/ MUST NOT have or be the following:
1.Your entry may be traditional or digital. (This means, painting or drawing) with any medium exept photography and poetry.
2. Your entry MUST be black and white! (No colors)
3. Your entry MUST have a mushroom, butterfly OR both somewhere in the scheme.
4. Your entry must be abstract and/or psychedelic in pattern.
5. Your entry Must be neat in appearence. (I do not expect perfection, but a sloppy quick drawing will be disqualified.) Take your time, and put effort into this.
6. Your entry MUST state that it is a contest entry with my icon,
's "Abstract Mania" contest, in your description.7. The link to your entry MUST be sent to me in a note, not a message by atleast this date and time: October, 15th @ 6:00 p.m. EST.
8. Only *1* entry per contestent.
9. No words, sexuality, nudity, or provacitiveness in any form.
10. Your enrty MUST be new and made exclusively for this contest!

* A drawing that I am working on right now just for the contest, in a black frame, signed by me, sent to you in the mail!
(I will not make a print from this drawing, so you will be the only one to ever obtain it.)
You all will see it by atleast the beginning of next week.

Mushrooms or butterflies did you say?
That's something to thionk about overmy break....
A few questions : what about photomanipulations far beyond the stage of recognition (like this [link] not to participate but
to illustrate the technique ).
Are direct scans (manipulated afterwards ) allowed, too ? And intégration of photographic bits into a digital work ?
I like to mix technics.
