Argh! I was approached recently by a guy who was promoting a band or something (I don't remember what his affiliation with them was), and asked how much I'd charge to create a logo for them. I said $250. He acted like that was highway robbery and tried to talk me down. I told him to do minor small things I'd charge $15 an hour, and he's still trying to talk me down. "Well what if I make you the exclusive artist for the band?? Then you'd get your work out there and be doing stuff you love, etc." Geesh. People, get a grip.

Did you sign over your copyright in a legal document? If not, the copyright is still yours and you can take legal action.. but if you did.. I dunno. I am glad you put up this warning though! Shame on them! As artists themselves you think they would at least treat other artists with respect. Ugh.

That's what I thought, they wouldn't let people get away with their music being stolen, after copyright!
